This issue of 315MOM is your nudge to take care of you, too. It’s packed with easy, feel-good ideas—from finding a workout you actually enjoy to simple ways to refresh your space and boost your mood. You’ll find honest takes on the mental load of motherhood (because mom brain is very real), supportive insights on pregnancy and postpartum, and heartfelt stories about healing and growth. Plus, there are fun ideas for getting out of the house and reconnecting with yourself, your community, and a little everyday joy.

Dear Mom Friends,
Many of us enter motherhood with certain expectations. Here’s a common one: “My kid won’t eat refined sugar.” This is a great idea until your child starts going to birthday parties. Another classic: “My kid will behave in the grocery store.” A cute plan until your shopping trip gets too close to nap time. And here’s our personal favorite: “My kid will not get screen time." It’s such an admirable goal until your child is handed a Chromebook on their first day of preschool.
Motherhood reminds us that not everything can be planned or controlled. Eventually, we learn to loosen our hold on expectations and live more in the present moment. We adjust and find ways to weave our values and goals into the reality of daily life.
When we launched 315Mom, we had very few expectations, but one rose to the top: the magazine needed to be printed.
Moms take care of everyone, and the free print edition was intended to be a small gift — a tangible reminder that their hard work is seen and valued.
Many local businesses stepped up to support this project from day one, and we are forever grateful. Once we had an advertising base, we looked for more avenues to sustain the print edition, including subscriptions and grant applications.
Despite those efforts, the reality is that continuing a print format is not financially sustainable, and it’s time for us to shift our expectations.
315Mom will continue to provide a space for local moms through our website and social media channels. In many ways, this transition opens new possibilities. It will be easier for us to share stories more frequently and to welcome new voices from our community. We warmly invite you to reach out if you would like to submit stories, tips, or perspectives on family life in Central New York.
With that, we present our final print issue focused on self-care. We hope you enjoy it, and we are so thankful for your support of this community magazine.
